THURDSAY 24th

Arriving in the HOLY LAND we are met by Inner Faith Travel representatives. After a relaxing morning we arrive in Joppa where we will explore the area where Peter came to Joppa from Lydda to raise Tabitha (Dorcas) from the dead (Acts 9:36-42). While in Joppa, the apostle stayed at the house of Simon the Tanner. When Peter was praying on the roof, he had a vision of a large sheet filled with animals being lowered from heaven (Acts 9:43-10:23), signalling to him to go with the messengers from Cornelius. The Church of St. Peter marks the traditional site of Peter’s vision of the great sheet. We visit the Museum of the Jewish people in Tel Avivwhere Ben Gurion declared Israel an independent nation.Overnight in Tel Aviv (D)

FRIDAY 25th

Today we will follow the coastline to CAESAREA, home of Cornelius (Acts 10:1) and site of Herod’s Palace. We continue to Muhraqa, ascending MT CARMEL where Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal and called down fire from heaven (1 Kings 18). From the lookout we view the Jezreel Valley and the Mediterranean Sea. Wevisit Nazareth,passing by MT TABOR, and step into the Bible at the Nazareth Village where lifestyle is recreated as it was in the time of Jesus,where Jesus grew to manhood. We also drive by Cana where Jesus performed His first recorded miracle. Our coach then rounds the crest of the hill where the picturesque Sea of Galilee unfolds before our eyes.

SATURDAY 26th(SHABBAT)

Today we explore this historical area of Galilee. Remember how Jesus walked on the water? Our special, traditional sailing vessel will take us across the Sea of Galilee, stopping in the middle for a time of reflection and worship. Rejoice! Jesus is alive! We disembark at Nof Ginnosar, a kibbutz located on the shore of the Galilee where we will see the remains of a boat from the time of Jesus. 

Participant’s baptism or rededication. Opportunity is given toenjoy St. Peter’s fish for lunch. Arriving later to CAPERNAUM, the city of Jesus, we visit the ruins of the synagogue where Jesus performed many miracles. You will see the new excavations of ST. PETER’S house and visit TABGHA where Jesus multiplied five loaves and two fishes to feed the multitudes. Later we ascend to the top of the MOUNT OF BEATITUDES where we’ll read the Sermon on the Mount. Overnight Galilee  B-L-D)

SUNDAY 27th 

We journey on to CAESAREA PHILIPPI where Peter confessed his faith in Jesus. We will visit Tel Dan, a city mentioned in the Bible and described as the northernmost city of the Kingdom of Israel, and belonging to the tribe of Dan. Overnight Galilee (B-D)

MONDAY 28th 

Our sojourn thru the Holy Land takes us tothe Decapolis city of BEIT-SHEAN where King Saul’s body was hung on the gates of the city. Excavations have uncovered eighteen levels of habitation in this ancient historical city. Travelling south through the Judean wilderness of Israel to visit the ancient village of Jericho then on to Qumran where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered, and Ein Gedi where David hid from King Saul. TUESDAY 29th 

Then to Timna Park where there is a tabernacle in the Wilderness.We journey onto Timna Park – one of the Most Beautiful Parks in the World. Timna Park is outstanding in its variety of scenic, geological and archaeological sites of global significance. In the Wilderness at Timna Park, 20 miles (32 km) north of Eilat in the Arabah, a life-size replica of the biblical tabernacle has been constructed.  While no original materials (e.g., gold, silver, bronze) have been used, the model is accurate in every other way based upon the biblical description. After returning to our resort we enjoy a swim at the Dead Sea. Overnight in Dead Sea (B-D)

WEDNESDAY 30th

Tour the mighty fortress of MASADA, the site of the last heroic three-year stand of 960 Jewish defenders against the Roman Empire. From its heights (by cable car) we have tremendous views of Jordan and the Dead Sea.We travel south through Beersheba stop at the Australian Soldier Park, with a Messianic Jew and visit the wells of Abraham. We visit Elah Valley before our memorable assent “up to Jerusalem” Overnight Jerusalem (B-D)

 THURSDAY 31st 

We awaken in the city of the Great King, Jerusalem, the geographic centre of the world. You can feel the atmosphere that sets Jerusalem apart from any other city in the world. We have a full day of touring Old Jerusalem, following in the footsteps of Jesus, including the MOUNT OF OLIVES and the GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE. Entering into the OLD CITY through ST. STEPHEN’S GATE we visit the POOL OF BETHESDA where Jesus cured an invalid, and continue to the Ecce Homo convent to view the Lithostrotos and the Pavement and visit the PRAETORIUM, site of the public trial and condemnation of Jesus. The HERODIAN TUNNEL is now open for us to explore, and a scale model of the Temple Mount during the time of Herod is the highlight of our underground visit. We continue through the picturesque bazaar streets passing the Stations of the Cross along the VIA DOLOROSA arriving to the Citadel of David and the UPPER ROOM where we will reflect on the events of the LAST SUPPER believed to have taken place on this site. FRIDAY 1stNOVEMBER (EREV SHABBAT)

An introduction to modern Israel and the Jewish people in Yad Vashem, Israel’s main Holocaust remembrance, education center and the Children’s Memorial. In the heart of a neighbourhood in downtown Jerusalem, the largest open market in Israel was built in 1928, the Machane Yehuda Market. Walking through the market’s alleyways is a good opportunity to meet Jerusalem and its fascinating human mosaic. Tonight we enjoy a traditional Shabbat dinner in the Old City of Jerusalem.

SATURDAY 2nd

A free day in Jerusalem! No bus or guide today – you are free to explore in small groups. Option to attend Shabbat services today. You have the opportunity to simply stroll around this ancient city using the Bible as your guidebook.  Perhaps visit some interesting sites and places in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City. What a privilege! Enjoy the facilities of the hotel, go shopping, and write postcards, the day is yours. Overnight Jerusalem (B-D)

SUNDAY 3rd 

Something special today! Visit to Bethlehem – the city where King David and Jesus were born followed by a meeting with the Palestinian Pastor Naim Khoury with an update about Christianity in the Palestinian Authority. We continue our journey by driving along the route of the Patriarchs in the mountains of Judea, to the burial cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron where we will look at God’s covenants with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Overnight in Jerusalem (B-D)

MONDAY 4th  

Sadly our last day,The GARDEN TOMB this morning where we celebrate a Communion Service with the empty tomb in the background. The serenity of this place makes it a spiritual oasis within this bustling city. Then on to We visit the WESTERN WALL, the most sacred site for the Jewish people and ascend the TEMPLE MOUNT to the Dome of the Rock, the site where Abraham offered up Isaac. Our tour concludes with a Celebratory Farewell dinner before we transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for a late flight home. (B-D)

TUESDAY 5th

Arrive home with memories and a realisation that we have truly walked “in the footsteps of Yeshua” (meals on plane)
